NEW BOOK RELEASE LIFE MOMENTS FOR WOMEN,

FEATURING 100+ REMARKABLE STORIES FROM NOTABLE CALIFORNIA WOMEN, IDEAL MOTHERS’ DAY GIFT! Giveaway

By Life Moments for Women sponsored Feature May 2, 2012

Do you know the history of Mother’s Day in America? Anna Jarvis started the first Mother’s Day celebration in West Virginia in 1908. She campaigned for a national day on which everyone would focus on the importance of the mother in the family, and after appealing directly to the President for federal support of the holiday, President Woodrow Wilson signed into law the creation of a national Mother’s Day in 1914.

Every year on Mother’s Day in America, it is customary for children to demonstrate their love for their mothers. This is often done by having a special meal together, spending quality time together, and treating mothers to heartfelt gifts and flowers.

Life Moments for Women is a great gift idea that mothers and their children can share together! The collection of stories unites remarkable women around the state creating a team of writers with a two-fold purpose: to instill greater awareness of the critical roles that women play in building a better world and to awaken readers with important insights about leadership and becoming an unstoppable force for change.

Contributing writers share their personal stories with other successful women from fields such as politics, entrepreneurship, media, law, education, philanthropy, athletics, science, religion, military, technology, products, services, the arts and more.

Each of these extraordinary women shares one special moment that changed her in a significant way, teaching, inspiring and motivating readers with a powerful life lesson. These powerful life-moment stories will change you – and take your breath away.

“Imagine being at a gathering of women where they are sharing their thoughts, their lives, giving and taking the hard-earned wisdom of experience. Now imagine that the 100+ women are all exceptionally accomplished and inspiring. When you read this book, you are welcomed into that wonderful circle,” said Carsey-Werner Productions’ Marcy Carsey, producer of That ‘70s Show, Roseanne, The Cosby Show, 3rd Rock from the Sun and more.

Actress and author Mariel Hemingway also gives the book a warm endorsement, saying, “The timeless messages in Life Moments for Women will resonate in the hearts of women and girls everywhere. This book illustrates the common bond that all women share.”
